Scott Pomeroy Named President and CFO; Marilyn Neal Named Board Chairman
NEW YORK - May 4, 2006 - The board of directors of Caribe Media, Inc., a Welsh
Carson Anderson & Stowe portfolio company, today announced key leadership
appointments. Caribe Media, Inc., is the majority owner of Axesa Servicios de
Informacin, S. en C, publisher of the official yellow pages directories in Puerto Rico for Puerto Rico Telephone Company and Caribe Servicios de Informacion Dominicana, S.A., publisher of the official yellow pages directories in the Dominican Republic for Verizon Dominicana.
Scott Pomeroy will serve as president and CFO, with overall responsibility for the
companys operations and financial performance. Most recently, Pomeroy served as
chief financial officer for Dex Media, Inc. the fourth-largest directory company in the U.S before it was acquired by R.H. Donnelley Corp. on January 31, 2006 During his three year tenure with Dex Media, he was responsible for raising over $7.5 billion in debt financing, approximately $1.5 billion in equity capital through an IPO and follow-on secondary offering and for the successful sale of the business, completed earlier this year. Pomeroys business and financial leadership was instrumental in driving industry-leading financial and operational performance for the business throughout these transactions.
In his 20-year career, Pomeroy, formerly with KPMG, has also served as chief financial officer for Eotec Capital LLC, JELTEX Holdings and Lewis Foods Group, where he also served as president and chief operating officer.
Marilyn Neal has been appointed chairman of the board of Caribe Media, Inc.,
responsible for the companys strategic direction. Neal has served in diverse leadership roles in a 30-year career in the directory publishing industry. Most recently, she was chief operating officer for Dex Media, responsible for sales, marketing, operations and customer service functions. Neal also held key leadership positions for Verizon Information Services and GTE, including regional president, senior vice president for International and vice president of Business Development.
