Linda Martin Named Managing Director for Puerto Rico Portfolio Company
NEW YORK, August 22, 2006 - Scott Pomeroy, president and CFO of Caribe Media
Inc., a Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe portfolio company, today announced that Linda Martin has been named as the new Managing Director for Axesa Servicios de
Información, S. en C in Puerto Rico. Caribe Media, Inc., is the majority owner of Axesa Servicios de Información, S. en C, publisher of the official yellow pages directories in Puerto Rico for Puerto Rico Telephone Company and Caribe Servicios de Información Dominicana, S.A., publisher of the official yellow pages directories in the Dominican Republic for Verizon Dominicana.
"I am extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Linda Martin as the Managing Director for Axesa Servicios de Información," said Pomeroy. Linda Martin has over 30 years experience in the directory publishing industry. Before joining the Axesa team, Martin spent four years at DexMedia, the leading provider of print directories and Internet-based local search for 14 Western and Midwestern states, where she acted as the company's Senior Vice President as well as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Between 2002 and 2006 she was responsible for revenues in excess of $1.5 billion and over 1,000 employees. Prior to that, she worked as GTE and Verizon in high profile markets such as New York, California, Texas and Florida.
